Odyssey

THE Story

As if it were a moment suspended in time, a siesta in the sun, I take a sidestep, and let myself be nurtured.

I let myself float, everything being so calm and restful, my eyes covered, the sun running through my eyelids. 

Rock climbing, if you hang too long onto a hold, it becomes more and more difficult to reach the next one. It is with this philosophy, as I feel I’m running out of breath, that I have decided to press PAUSE. It’s a question of recontacting my emotions, of feeling well in both body and mind.

This pause is indispensable and life-saving so I can reinvent myself, even if it shakes up my whole existence.

This means hitting reset, sailing in the ocean of all that is possible, devoid of any territorial anchor.

Whether this odyssey lasts the time of a meditation, a nap, a day, a well-deserved holiday or a new life to build, I let time do the rest…

Comme un instant suspendu dans le temps, une sieste au soleil, je fais un pas de côté, et me laisse bercer. Je me laisse flotter, tout est calme et reposé, mes yeux se voilent, le soleil perce au travers mes paupières. 

En varappe, si l’on reste accroché longtemps à une prise, il devient de plus en plus difficile d’accéder à la prise suivante. C’est avec cette philosophie et me sentant à bout de souffle, que j’ai décidé d’ appuyer sur PAUSE. Histoire de retrouver mes émotions, de me sentir bien dans mon corps et dans ma tête.

La pause indispensable et salvatrice pour me réinventer, quitte à  bousculer mon existence. 

Remettre les compteurs à zéro, en voguant dans un océan de possibles dénué de tout ancrage territorial. 

Que cette odyssée dure le temps d’une méditation, d’une sieste, d’une journée, de vacances bien méritées ou d’une nouvelle vie à construire. Je laisse le temps au temps…

Territories​

Sports are a way to celebrate life, to enjoy being together, to provoke laughter and healthy competition. It doesn’t matter who you’re up against, the important thing is to enjoy the moment. Our Mates allow us to touch those moments of grace and sharing in less time than it takes to say it! They put pseudo-pro and beginners on an equal footing. They create the conditions for a good laugh whether you win or lose. In the end, these moments of communion will remain memories engraved in each of us, pieces of our lives where we remember more the frenzied trash talk than the sport, where emotions took precedence over the score and where the fun is more important than the effort.
Le sport est une manière de célébrer la vie, d’apprécier le fait d’être ensemble, de provoquer les rires et une saine compétition. Peu importe face à qui on se retrouve, l’important est de kiffer le moment. Nos Mates nous permettent de toucher ces moments de grâce et de partage en moins de temps qu’il n’en faut pour le dire ! Ils mettent les pseudo-pro et les débutants sur un pied d’égalité. Ils créent les conditions d’une franche rigolade que l’on gagne ou que l’on perde. Au final, ces instants de communions resteront des souvenirs gravés en chacun de nous, des morceaux de nos vies où l’on se souvient plus du trashtalk endiablé que du sport, où les émotions ont pris le pas sur le score et où l’amusement est plus important que l’effort.“

In between two moods

The Odyssey range speaks of being in-between, between two spaces. The greyish light green colour is free-floating, evanescent. It combines greyish violet and jean blue. This cold combination incites us to take a break, to take our time. At the same time, the bleached orange blends into the range and stands out, ever so joyous, like the sun of the hea on our skin. The orangey-beige and the shine of the sunny yellow are added to create a carefree moment. We’re off on a journey, perhaps motionless, meditative in any case.
La gamme d’Odyssey nous parle d’entre deux, entre deux temps, deux espaces. Le vert clair grisé est flottant, évanescent. Il s’associe au violet grisé et au bleu jean ; ce combo froid nous invite à faire une pause, à prendre le temps. Parallèlement, l’orange blanchit s’immisce dans la gamme et s’étale, joyeux, comme la chaleur du soleil sur notre peau. Le beige orangé et l’éclat de jaune solaire s’ajoutent pour créer un instant d’insouciance. On part pour un voyage, peut être immobile, en tout cas méditatif.

Smooth transition

In this period of transition we are facing, I have chosen to let myself be carried away. The light grids calm down and leave room for translucent rubbery touches. The handle on my bike lets the frame come slightly appear, while the ripstop on my bag lets my beach equipment show. I feel light in my soft jersey outfit with just the right thickness.
Dans cette période de transition, je choisis de me laisser porter. Les grilles légères se calment et laissent place à des touchés gommeux translucides. La poignée de mon vélo laisse légèrement apparaître le cadre, tandis que le ripstop de ma sacoche laisse entrevoir mon matériel de plage. Je me sens légère dans ma tenue en jersey doux à la bonne épaisseur.
