Today, a wide majority of the urban population is not prepared to face situations of crisis, ranging from a few hours to several days, but this also applies to natural, industrial catastrophes, pandemics or even urban violence.

Snow Peak and New Balance are preparing a new capsule with the Tokyo Design Studio, packed with clothing ever so useful, and the invented Niobium Concept 1, a modular sneaker that can be worn in three different ways, like a waterproof boot, an outdoor sandal or an indoor slipper.

OK, the city is a jungle, and nature has taken over; but let’s hang in there. It is out of the question to stay home and wait for the world to change without us. It is up to us to adapt, and not the other way around! We will step by step turn into untamable lions on our new playground, sharks ready to win in pools, gazelles to overcome barriers. You get the picture! Man is an animal!

Ok, la ville est une jungle, la nature a repris ses droits, mais on ne lâche rien. Hors de question de rester chez soi à attendre que le monde change sans nous. C’est à nous de nous
y adapter et non l’inverse !
Coup à coup, nous serons des lionnes indomptables sur notre nouveau terrain de jeux, des requins pour gagner dans les bassins, des gazelles
pour franchir les obstacles…

B/W and DEEP VERSATILE SHADES
This range revolves around black, off-white and reddish brown, in an animal skin mood. Dark bright colours are versatile; green shades are cold, both aquatic and urban, and purple/bordeaux tones are ever so warm, perfect indoors and out. Pastelized vivifying shades brighten up the atmosphere for wintery combinations.
La gamme s’articule autour d’un noir, d’un faux blanc et d’un brun rougi ambiance peaux de bête. Les vifs foncés sont versatiles: les verts sont froids, à la fois aquatiques et urbains et les violets/bordeaux sont chauds, parfait pour de l’indoor autant que de l’outdoor. Des vifs pastelisés illuminent et signent ses associations hivernales.
COMPONENT MOOD
As quick as a cheetah, as fleeting as a wolf, I adapt, camouflage myself with organic jacquards and snake prints.
The animal no longer sleeps from within. Both reactive and hybrid, my flesh becomes both as robust and soft as fur.
The materials on my skin wake up my primary instincts. My sensations are on the alert as I glide fearlessly into the city, brush past the concrete and burn the asphalt. At ease inside or outside, I’m all equipped like a beast, with a technical coat, spotted, zebra-striped, shiny, polished and thick.
Rapide comme le guépard, furtif comme le loup, je m’adapte, je me camoufle grâce à des jacquards organiques et des imprimés serpents.
L’animal ne sommeille plus en moi. Réactive et hybride, ma chair devient à la fois robuste et douce comme une fourrure.
Les matières sur ma peau réveillent mes instincts primaires. Les sens aux aguets, je glisse dans la ville, frôle le béton, brûle l’asphalte, sans crainte. Tons sur tons, je ne fais alors qu’un avec mon environnement. A l’aise dehors comme dedans, je suis équipé comme une bête au pelage technique, tacheté, zébré, brillant, lustré et épais.
